The Character Encoding is the same as what the user agent will see. It also converts the character codes to hexadecimal digits. Some of the hexadecimal digits are translated to the ASCII character codes. The last stage converts the hexadecimal characters back into the original character code, as some of them are translated to UTF-8. I have tested the code in an embedded system using a C128 emulator. It works fine. As far as I know, the only way to do this in Java is to use HEXDUMP and then re-write the code in Java. However, that's not ideal. I tried to do this with Java SE 8 but was unable to. Does anybody know of a Java library that could achieve this?
